Lawyer and Technologist
John Ackermann is an attorney with a passion for making law and technology work together. In addition to broad experience as a legal executive with a major techology company, he has long worked with the legal issues that surround the development and use of open source software, has written OSS programs himself, and as author of the TAPR Open Hardware License helped to create one of the first licensing models for open hardware.
